Beginning July 1, 2010 Citizens National Bank will no longer participate in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Thus, after June 30, 2010, funds held in noninterest-bearing transaction accounts will no longer be guaranteed in full under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program, but will be insured up to $250,000 under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.

In an effort to protect your personal information, Citizens National Bank will never request confidential information through unsolicited email. Carefully screen and delete unsolicited email messages that ask you to provide personal information such as a password or a Social Security number via email or that asks you to visit an unsubstantiated website in order to submit confidential information. If you suspect you have provided confidential account or personal information to a fraudulent website, please call us immediately and report it.
